 Ilketunjo Primary School

# of students : 1219

Teachers : 12

Class Size : 114-120

Status of Library : It was hard to even call it a library. It's just a room with  a  dozen or so ragged books.

           Serbo Primary School

# of students : 1984

Teachers : 20

Class Size : 60-70

Status of Library : Library had one shelf that was relevant to primary
school  education. Everything else was either old
Russian books donated by the Soviet Union, some 25
years ago, or outdated textbook manuals.

             Mandera Primary School

# of students: 3200

Teachers: 33

Class Size: 50-60

Status of Library:  This quote from the librarian at Mandera Primary school accurately describes the status of the library at Mandera: "most books in this library are there so the shelves are not empty."

Oolmeedhaayee Satellite School

# of students: 400

Teachers: 3

Class Size: 130-140

Status of Library:  No library exists. Oolmeedhaayee Satellite School operates under Ilketunjo Primary School. It has 400 students grades 1-4.It was built for little children who can't walk all the way to Ilketunjo . It has only 3 classrooms that in no way foster an environment suitable for educating our youth. We are hoping to rebuild the school and also a library.
